At Teachers Together, we’re passionate about ensuring all educators, including supply staff, have access to meaningful, high-quality professional development. Our mission is to raise standards and support local schools by offering targeted, free in-person training sessions for our supply staff members. These sessions equip them with the skills, confidence and insight they need to make a positive impact in the classroom.
Our Commitment to Quality Training
Supply roles bring unique challenges, and with the right training, educators in these positions become invaluable assets to schools. We’re dedicated to providing training that enhances both the skills and career growth of our members, ensuring they’re prepared to support students effectively.
What Sets Our Training Apart
Reflective of Classroom Needs: We collaborate closely with partner schools and local education experts to design training that meets real-world challenges head-on.
Accessible and Free: We’re proud to provide these sessions at no cost, reinforcing our commitment to supporting educators and adding value for our partner schools.
Specialised Focus: From exclusive accreditations to sector-leading expertise, our training sets a new standard in supply education.
Key Training Areas
Therapeutic Thinking: As the only recruitment agency in our region accredited to deliver 'Therapeutic Thinking' training, we help educators proactively manage classrooms by fostering positive, inclusive environments. Members learn approaches that promote emotional wellbeing, supporting all learners to thrive.
SEND-Focused Development: Through SEND-focused training, such as 'Supporting Communication & Interaction in Early Years and KS1', and Autism Education Trust's 'Good Autism Practice in Schools', our members gain crucial skills to work with students requiring specialised support.
Safeguarding and Compliance: Every member completes Safeguarding, Prevent, and Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) training before entering the classroom. This foundational training ensures that all supply staff understand the critical aspects of student safety and well-being. We also work with Luton LADO Paul James to deliver ‘In Safe Hands’ training which provides members with insights from Serious Case Reviews.
Curriculum-specific Sessions: Our recent 'Primary Maths' session, in partnership with HFL Education, exemplifies our commitment to curriculum-focused training that our members can immediately apply.
Ofsted Inspections: We provide specialised 'Ofsted Inspection Framework' training for members placed at partner schools which are subject to inspection.
Ongoing and Upcoming Training
Our commitment to professional growth doesn’t stop with a single session. Each year, we host three in-person training sessions, providing continuous opportunities for skill-building, networking, and professional growth. Additionally, members enjoy free access to online CPD training and resources, and the opportunity to join the Chartered College of Teaching.
Our upcoming 'Therapeutic Thinking' session in February will deepen members’ ability to support students’ emotional and behavioural needs, reinforcing our proactive, supportive approach to classroom success
Why This Training Matters for Schools and Students
Prepared and Confident Educators: When educators are well-prepared, they bring skill and confidence to the classroom, creating a positive, productive learning environment.
Aligned with School Needs: Our training is shaped by feedback and collaboration, ensuring our members are well-prepared to support the unique needs of each school.
Adding Value at No Extra Cost: By investing in our members, we offer greater value to our partners and educators alike—without hidden fees.
At Teachers Together, we’re not just placing educators in classrooms; we’re empowering them to make a difference from day one. Through targeted free training, meaningful support, and a commitment to excellence, we’re raising the bar in supply education—for the benefit of our members, our partners, and the students we all serve.
